SUM Bilbao 19 was the scenario of the adhesion ceremony of the city of Bilbao to the Mobility Champions Community, which is the first global high-level platform of local and regional leaders who together lead the transformation of urban mobility. By joining the Mobility Champions Community, Mayors, Ministers and other leaders from the public sector share a common reference framework to implement sustainable urban public policies that seek to guarantee a development which is more inclusive, accessible, competitive, resilient and gender equal for present and future generations.
The invitation extended to the city of Bilbao to be part of the Mobility Champions Community has been made in recognition of Bilbao’s vision and leadership in the development of public transport projects which guarantee more accessible, efficient and liveable cities.
