The Sustainable Urban Mobility Congress – Bilbao 2019 is an international meeting which aims to gather both public and private actors interested in discussing about the challenges and opportunities related to sustainable urban mobility. Learn more about us here.
SUM Congress 2019 is an initiative of the City Council of Bilbao, in collaboration with Petronor, which has the support of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), as well as various sponsors related to the sustainable mobility sector.
The venue of the SUM Congress 2019 will be the Euskalduna Conference Centre, a renowned congress centre located in the centre of Bilbao, Basque Country (Spain) and easily accessible by metro, tram, bus, bicycle, car or walking. The SUM Congress 2019 will address sustainable urban mobility from an integral and transversal approach. In this sense, the contents of the sessions will be structured around three main topics: strategies and Public Policies for a more sustainable mobility; technology and innovation as solution providers for a more sustainable mobility; opportunities for socioeconomic development related to sustainable mobility. SUM Congress 2019 is expected to be attended by those ones interested in to promote a sustainable urban mobility. Thus, this Congress will gather: local, regional and national governments, international organizations authorities, leading companies in technological innovation, automotive industry and public transport, start-ups, and academic centres.
SUM Congress 2019 aims to provide a dialogue and meeting space for leaders from different sectors, in order to foster agreements able to move forward the consolidation of sustainable urban mobility systems. Therefore, this Congress embraces not only public sector bodies but also private companies and all other types of organisations entered in the debate around sustainable mobility. In this way, the congress promotes the dialogue between different urban actors, whose participation is key in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) and the Agenda 2030.
SUM Congress 2019 will strengthen the bonds between public and private actors, through the signing of the Bilbao Declaration.

The tickets allow the access to all the sessions included in the SUM Congress 2019 programme. It implies there are not tickets for just one day. However, the closing act and the signing of Bilbao Declaration will have open doors to those ones who have previously registered until the Congress reaches full capacity.
The ticket allows you to access the 5 plenary sessions, 8 thematic sessions, opening and closing acts, and signing of Bilbao Declaration. It also includes the participation on networking activities, meaning access to the Exhibition Hall and the Networking Zone, where you will enjoy pintxos and beverages during the programme breaks.
We regret that eventually you will not be able to enjoy SUM Congress 2019. But we inform you that all the changes and cancellations must be reported to the email address info@sumbilbao19.com. Please, notice that before December 31st, 2018, you can get refund the 80% of the ticket price. After January, 1st, 2019 refunds are not possible. Refunds will be made after the Congress.

SUM Congress 2019 seeks to be a gathering place between public and private actors to exchange ideas, share interests and stablish contact for future projects on sustainable urban mobility.
