The Sustainable Urban Mobility Congress – Bilbao 2021 will enable different national and international stakeholders involved in the development of sustainable urban mobility models to meet and enter into debate. Find out more here.

SUM Bilbao 2021 is a Bilbao City Council initiative in collaboration with Petronor, which has the support of diverse sponsors related to urban sustainable mobility, energy and transport.

The venue for SUM Bilbao 2021 is the Euskalduna Conference Centre, a renowned congress centre in the centre of Bilbao, Basque Country (Spain) and easily accessible by metro, tram, bus, bicycle, car or on foot. You can find out more about how to get to the venue here.

The Congress will be held on 6th and 7th October 2021.

SUM Bilbao 2021 will address sustainable urban mobility and all the challenges it faces from an integral and transversal approach. Therefore, the contents of the sessions will be structured around three main topics: energy transition; governance and funding; mobility, digitalisation and innovation. SUM Bilbao 2021 is aimed at all people involved and interested in fostering sustainable urban mobility. This event will therefore bring together national and international stakeholders from different fields: representatives of local, regional and national governments and international bodies; managers from companies in the energy and transport sector, mobility services, innovation and technology; entrepreneurs and start-ups; and academics.

SUM Bilbao 2021 aims to provide a meeting space for dialogue between leaders from different sectors, in order to pool together the actions being carried out and progress made to reach agreements to move forward in the consolidation of sustainable urban mobility systems. Therefore, this Congress is not only aimed at the public or private sector, but it born with the spirit to foster alliances between diverse urban stakeholders, whose participation is essential in order to move forward in the consolidation of the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

On this occasion, SUM Bilbao 2021 will be organised in an in-person* and on-line hybrid format.
