In this session, the role of electric mobility to foster new models of sustainable urban mobility will be explored. That is, the huge growth of electric mobility in recent years and its possibilities and limitations to face mobility challenges and opportunities in cities of the 21st century will be analysed.
Thanks to the knowledge and experience of the speakers, scenarios related to the future of electric mobility will be considered, whilst identifying the most relevant technologies and applications that will make them possible. Furthermore, the influence of electric mobility on the urban development of cities will be addressed, which have seen how new infrastructures are modified and created for the development of electric mobility, such as, for example, charging points or stations.
