During this session, the way in which metropolitan and multi-level governance is adapted for the implementation and consolidation of sustainable mobility systems will be analysed. More flexible governance in which numerous actors come into play and which allows for cooperation and alliances between different administrations and also between then and the private sector and civil society.
In this respect, this session will focus on the presentation of good practices and success stories which have enabled local authorities in different Latin American and European metropolitan regions to move forward in the construction of more sustainable urban mobility systems with the development of different programmes and projects, for example, increased public transport, intermodality, low emission areas or park and ride.
