The Declaration of Bilbao is a document which complements the almost two days of exchange of experiences, knowledge and networking during the SUM Bilbao 19. It is an agreement that builds bridges between current mobility policies and practices. Likewise, it allows sealing an agreement that lasts beyond the congress whereby influential stakeholders in the mobility field commit to work together towards models aligned with the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.
With the congress just around the corner, the Scientific Office (SO) has interviewed the City Council of Bilbao, co-organizer of the event, represented by Juan Mari Aburto (JMA) and Alfonso Gil (AG), Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Mobility and Sustainability Area, respectively. They have been invited to share their points of view regarding the Declaration of Bilbao and highlight the most relevant aspects of this document.
