SUM Bilbao On-line Forum: The future of mass passenger transport, under debate on 19th May

As an activity prior to the SUM Bilbao 21 Congress, we are organising an on-line forum to debate the advances in innovation in terms of mass passenger transport in cities, which will take place on 19th May at 11.30am. The Director of the Division for Transport Studies and Technologies (MITMA), Rocío Báguena; the Mayor of Sant Joan Despí and Vice-President of Transport and Mobility for the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, Antoni Poveda; as well as the Mayor of Irun and Deputy Chairman of EUDEL, José Antonio Santano, will be participating in the event.

Andrés Galnares, CEO of H2SITE, a start-up specialised in solutions for hydrogen production; Luciano Strucchi and Elizabeth Obediente, Managers at Iomob, a company facilitating Mobility as a Service (MaaS) will also be participating. Alfonso Gil, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Mobility and Sustainability in Bilbao City Council, will open the forum and Pilar Elejoste, Deputy Director of DeustoTech and researcher in the DSM (Deusto Smart Mobility) Group, will be the moderator.

In this forum, they will all present different innovation projects in mass passenger transport within a context of sustainable mobility in cities. They will go on to debate the challenges faced by the territories to adapt to the new trends in mobility and the opportunities they offer to foster innovation in the sector.
