On 6th and 7th October 2021, SUM Bilbao 21 will bring together national and international experts and authorities to debate the challenges, opportunities, and strategies to consolidate urban mobility systems, structured around three topics: Energy transition, Governance and funding, and Mobility, digitalization and innovation.
This second edition of SUM Bilbao will have a complete program made up of different sessions such as talks, debates, interviews, and project presentations.
On the first day, the plenary session “Financing and public-private alliances for sustainable mobility will begin after the opening session. This plenary session is framed within the topic of Governance and Energy Transition. It opens the debate about the present and the future of sustainable mobility systems, which will continue with the other sessions. Afterward, the “Project Exhibition” and the “Launch Capsule” session will start, a meeting that will present an innovative product for sustainable mobility and energy in cities. The second day will begin with two presentations on sustainable energy and connected mobility. Furthermore, there will be two round tables on regulatory frameworks for the energy transition and sustainable and accessible mobility. Simultaneously, two international experts will be interviewed: one focuses on the new mobility paradigms and the other one on the new energy model’s challenges for mobility.
Finally, this edition of the congress will conclude with a closing session, going through the three main topics and the Bilbao Declaration’s signature.
