Irizar e-mobility, GOLD sponsor of SUM Bilbao, is the first European electromobility plant devoted exclusively to developing and manufacturing 100% electric, zero-emission, short-distance buses and trucks, including their own battery systems. It also offers charging infrastructures and the digitalisation of fleet management. They are all designed and manufactured with the Group’s own technology and come with the Irizar guarantee and service quality.
Irizar e-mobility’s current range of vehicles includes three models: Irizar ie bus, Irizar ie tram and Irizar ie truck.
The Irizar ie bus offers a sustainable and eco-efficient urban mobility solution for a city’s transport needs today and in the future. The versions developed to date are those of 10, 12, 15 and 18 m.
This model has been operating in different European cities since 2014.
The Irizar ie tram is a 100% electric, zero-emission bus with the appearance of a tram that combines the large capacity, ease of access and internal configuration of a tram with the flexibility of a city bus.
The Irizar ie truck is a 100% electrical truck which responds to different market needs and enables it to move around cities and urban environments without generating atmospheric or acoustic pollution. The result is a cleaner city and more sustainable environment for citizens.
The batteries that are incorporated in its electric vehicles are developed and manufactured at its own plant in Aduna (Guipúzcoa), which has been designed to cover the needs of today’s European market and offer the best solution to each operator’s requirements.
Irizar e-mobility is fully committed to the environment and seeks to contribute to this energy transition. It has invested in the largest solar photovoltaic park in the Basque Country, with the intention of using the photovoltaic energy generated there in the manufacture of its vehicles, hence minimising its environmental impact.
Thanks to a collaboration agreement entered into with Ibil, it also offers a second life to batteries, enabling them to be reused once their useful life has been completed on buses, using them as a storage element in electric vehicle charging facilities at service stations.
It also collaborates with different companies and associations in circular economy projects, ensuring responsible consumption and sustainable production.
